Living Legend Lillian August

What a joy to honor a hero of the American Interior Design Industry, Lillian August, at the Sherrill Showroom.

This family-owned home furnishings business has weathered trends, crises and licensing agreements. For 30 years Lillian’s storytelling has been influenced by romantic English country houses, coastal mansions and fashion. She engaged us with a signature style of quilts, textiles, wallpaper, lighting, décor and furniture. She even opened retail stores.
The company founded with her son in 1988, now includes grandchildren in leadership and development roles geared towards millennials. Being one of the most influential women in the business of home design Lillian has endured and continues to pass on her passion to us all. I’m so thankful.
