“How Should I Decorate My Home?”

Do you struggle with every single decorating decision? Are your design dilemmas taking over your life?

Decorating can be difficult and even scary. I’ve seen people stress for weeks, even months, over a decision about fabric for a chair. Some people just can’t visualize their desired outcome and become consumed by indecision. What are you to do?

First, put decorating into perspective. For most of us, there are more important questions to worry about than choosing a wall color or curtain fabric. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Relax!

Next, surrender to the fact that you are wasting time and energy. Admit you are stuck and get some help! If you can’t afford a decorator then find a friend or go to a retail shop that has people on staff to help.

Decorating your home shouldn’t be an obsession or a burden.  Keep it in perspective, have fun with it, and use your time and talents wisely.
