2018 Fall High Point Market: COLOR Returns

Lisa Stewart Design Interior Ambella 2

Decorate with bold, bright colors to chase the gray away.

Interior designers know that gray is here to stay because it has established itself as a “go-to” neutral everyone loves. But the dominance of gray over the last several years has left many craving colors. And so, the fall furniture market revealed intense hues blooming everywhere in fabrics and on walls. What a relief to have color again!

The beautiful red jacquard fabric below inspired the Ambella showroom designed by Jennifer McConnell. By incorporating cranberry, burgundy, pink, purple and copper she updated the tired old Ralph Lauren red of the early 90’s. This hip pinkish crimson is fantastic and satisfies my need for color. What do you think? Are you ready for some chroma therapy?
